Welcome to REDI

The Reno Entrepreneurial Development Institute is a unique learning center for high school juniors and seniors in Kansas interested in entrepreneurship. REDI opened its doors in 1999 at The Quest Center for Entrepreneurs and currently operates out of the Hutchinson Career & Technical Education Academy on the campus of Hutchinson High School.

REDI is highly recommended for the student who aspires to own a business. Students take an in-depth study of the many facets of being an entrepreneur. The curriculum includes learning to create a successful business plan as well as choosing a product or service to market. Students are immersed in the planning and execution of entrepreneurial activities in a start-up business. While students are under the supervision of the instructor, they are expected to display responsible independent action and to interact frequently with business founders, owners or chief executives.

Students have the option of taking the REDI program for Hutchinson Community College credit. Students can earn up to six credit hours. College credit is an option and is not required for admission in the REDI program.

REDI students also participate in DECA. This is an organization that develops future leaders in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship and allows students to compete in these areas at the local, state, and international levels.

Many REDI students have gone on to be successful entrepreneurs. If you are a graduate of the REDI program, please contact us and update us on your achievements and successes in the business world.
